Greetings! My name is Pieter (pronounced Peter) Knower; I am originally from Sri Lanka but have spent most of my life in the United Kingdom and Australia.
I have worked for a number of high profile electronic institutions but then in the year 2009 when I was between jobs I found myself at a very swanky cocktail party.
I got talking to a gentleman who happened to be the owner of a real estate agency in South West Sydney, We did the small talk stuff and whilst on the subject of my chosen line of work and his Real Estate business we did an informal experiment to consider if the two occupations had anything in common.
I began with the trait of curiosity, he said it’s totally essential in real estate, this is how you learn to care about clients, I then said mathematical proficiency, he said it’s actually a career that is based on commission and property value, and of course maths is crucial. I then suggested creativity...thinking that I had him on this one, he said are you kidding? In a saturated marketplace of real estate agents, creative marketing is the key to attracting attention!
Little did I know that I was attending one of the most informal interviews of my life as this successful business owner was scouting around for a potential agent to run The Coldwell Banker Moorebank Offi ce.
That was five and a half years ago, and after fully qualifying as a real estate agent , I believe that I am a bolder agent due to my electronics back ground.
I am highly organised, hardworking and I have an intuition for problems before they arise.
Whilst honesty has become a throw-away term in real estate, I really think that it extends to being forthright in providing advice, but doing it with tactfulness and sensitivity.
My properties usually sell between 8-14 days. Moorebank as well as its neighbouring suburbs is attracting attention and you can’t help feeling that the place is not only ripe for commercial investment but also a sensible re-invention.
Whilst my first love is selling to the Young First Home buyer, I have listed homes that belong to senior owners and the thrill of seeing a home being sold which allows people to move onto a unique phase of their lives with the appropriate financial stability has me feeling and looking.... years younger.
